If there’s one thing you can say about the world of womanhood it’s that it’s a complex and confusing place. Whereas just a few generations ago women knew their place, today, things aren’t so black and white.
Whilst in the past girls who chose to exploit their sexuality for financial gain were looked down upon by most of society, today, we all know that sex sells and there’s no longer any shame in shaking what your momma gave you to earn a little cash.
Many women attest to how sexy, powerful and in control they feel when they’re performing on camera or in a similar profession, but can revealing your wares to all and sundry really make you feel good about yourself?
We interviewed three of the UK’s top web cam models for their opinions on this complicated issue, here’s what they had to say:
Mandy:
I’ve been a web cam model for seven years now and I have to say I’ve never felt better about myself. As soon as I went online I gained a loyal fan base and they’ve been with me ever since. The way I look at it is this, I’m not ashamed of my body, I like it and if I can use my talents to make a living in a fun and easy way then why not? It beats working in an office.
Sarah:
If it hadn’t of been for web cam modelling I never would have got my degree. During my first year of uni I struggled to make ends meet along with all my friends. I had two jobs to try and keep my head above water and by the end of term I was completely exhausted. Then I met an old friend in my hometown and she told me all about web cam modelling. At first I was wary, I didn’t want to encounter people I knew, or have my image used by other people, but my friend explained how secure and safe it all is and showed me what she did. Once I’d seen it for myself it all seemed too easy to pass up. During my second year of uni I’d say I worked as a web cam model for around 7 hours a week and made significantly more money than I ever had before!
Tina:
I have thought about whether I should really be web cam modelling, but I came to the conclusion that because I’m doing it for myself, it’s ok. If I was being exploited by a man then things would be different, but being a web cam model is like running your own business and you’ve got complete freedom as to when you work and what you do. Men will always want to look at naked women so why not let them look at you and make good money from it? In twenty years’ time I think I’ll look back and be really proud of what I achieved.
So if you’re confident, fun, outgoing and love your body, why not utilise your best qualities and make serious money at the same time by becoming a web cam model.
